Chef Madi will conclude 2019’s Summer by Rail in San Francisco, traveling from LA to the Bay Area on Amtrak’s Coast Starlight. The Starlight is a major highlight of Amtrak service on the West Coast, as it offer passengers amazing views between Seattle, WA and LA, with a stop in the San Francisco Bay Area of course.
In addition to having connections to Amtrak, Bay Area residents also have access to a variety of other public transit options. These include but are not limited to Bay Area Rapid Transit, AC Transit (Alameda and Contra Costa Counties), Altamont Corridor Express (ACE), CalTrain, Muni, Marin Transit and more.
Having all these options give Chef Madi as many means necessary to get to some of the great sites and tastes of the city. The city’s restaurants are also everywhere you look, so it’s impossible to not just step out the door and happen upon one of San Francisco’s best eateries. Conde Nast Traveller recently wrote that San Francisco is “a colourful celebration of ingredients and it is arguably America’s best food city. Californians pride themselves on their culture of using freshly prepared local ingredients and in San Francisco this is heightened with an international flair.”
